Hi all

I wish to use Netgroups to restrict logons to certain machines -- that is to say only sysadmins to log into certain hosts. The Netgroups feature of NIS, available in LDAP that we are using in place of NIS, appears to only prevent logins using rlogin / rsh. (which we don't use) I want to prevent logins at the console, via SSH and/or XDM. Is this possible? If so, how?

Also I noticed another correspondent bemoaning the lack of a command line user add for NIS. I've written one for LDAP, if anyone is interested i'll send you a copy.

Ahau K'in

PS thanks to all who helped with monitors issue. Will summarise when i get round to trying out all the suggestions.
