Too many open files

Dear Sun Managers,

I've a system E3500 with Solaris 2.6 (KJP 105181-31).
There is Oracle running on this system. We're getting
the following errors on our system....

Error 24: Too many Open Files

and it is causing our Oracle Listener to fail as the
Listener is unable to spawn a new process.

Searching thru sunsolve, there is a document talking
about how to increase the limit.

I've set the followings in the /etc/system but no
help.

set maxuprc=1024
set rlim_fd_cur=1024
set rlim_fd_max=2048

Highly appreciate if someone out there can shed a
light on this.
