Opinion needed

This may be a little off-topic.

I have a good deal of disk, about 250Meg, on an old Ultra5 system that is
acting up. I am planning to move all of the disk to a different system.
Some of the disk space it on SCSI in a hardware RAID system, the rest on a
Fiber Channel (JBOD). We are using the Veritas file system.

This new system will serve as an NFS file server only. No other
applications will be run there. The network attachment can be either 100bT
or Gigabit Ethernet. I am leaning tward the GE.

So, the question is what hardware to I buy? I am considering the following.

- A newer, tho possibly refurbed Sun system, not sure which model yet.
- An intel based system w/ Solaris, provided everything is supported.
- An intel system running RedHat Linux 7.x

Any of these choices will be well stocked with memory.

Thoughts?

Thanks
Bob
