Dear Sun Managers,

I've an E4500 with Solaris 8, when I run "prstat -tcs
rss" the RSS reported incorrectly. The value should be
3.8G but display as 38G

# prstat -tcs rss

I've put in the required patch 109033-01 but no help.
Checking thru sunsolve, this is a known bug #4685852.
Sun is still evaluating this with no solution.

Can someone shed a light on this. In Solaris, is there
any command to check on the correct rss memory size?
If not, what are the freeware I can use to provide me
the accurate data. Any workaround pertaining to the
reporting incorrectly from prstat?

TIA and appreciate someone can give me some inputs.

Thank you.

Regards,
Andrew
