Hi,
We have a found a bug in java 1.2.2._09, and want
update to a later version.
But there doesn't seem to be any patches for the
java product, or even products in pkg format anymore.
I can (and have) downloaded the latest jdk (1.2.2_13),
unpacked it into /usr and fixed the link /usr/java
to point to this version.
This fixes our problem but means that the pkg database
doesn't match the version we actually use, and we now
have "dead" / unused version of java on the system.
What is the recommended way to update (the systems) java?
Regards,
Matt
I did a websearch, a sunsolve search but only came up with
this infodoc, which describes how to have java1.1 and java1.2
on the same machine, but not how to update java 1.2
