Managers,
Using Sendmail version 8.11.2, and we're trying to set up
our mail server to handle mail for multiple domains. We have a
domaintable that looks something like the following:
foo1.com mail.foo.com
foo2.com mail.foo.com
foo3.com mail.foo.com
foo4.com mail.foo.com
We went through the following steps to configure everything. We used
the "makemap" command, along with the domaintable file previously
mentioned as input, to create our database. We then added the
domaintable FEATURE to the sendmail.mc file and ran the "m4" command to
recreate our sendmail.cf file. Finally, a line something like,
"Kdomaintable hash -o /etc/domaintable" was added to our sendmail.cf
file.
This sequence of steps resulted in our mail server not sending or
receiving email. What are we missing or what have we done wrong? Is
there something else we should do, or some other sequence of steps we
should take?
