We are experiencing some performance issues using Networker 5.5.5 with BMC
OBSI for Networker and SQL BackTrack for Oracle.
All are on an E6500 attached to a Sun L1800, the Oracle database also runs
on the E6500 and the storage is on Sun T3s attached via
Fibre Channel-Arbitrated Loop ( FC-AL).
Although we confugured parallelism for BackTrack we are NOT writing to more
than one tape drive during backups of the Oracle 8i database.
Our backup/restore is up to around 6 hours.
Any tips would be appreciated.
