Hello All,

I have been working with Solaris 2.6, 5/99 - Solaris 8 for so long now, I
haven't kept up with the patches.

I came across this patch:

Patch-ID# 107490-01 Keywords: savecore swap slice 2G
Synopsis: SunOS 5.6: savecore doesn't work if swap slice is over 2G Date:
Apr/05/99

I have always configured Solaris 2.6 systems with one or more 2GB swap
partitions. Can Solaris 2.6 now able to use swap partitions larger than 2GB or
is this strictly for the ability to hold crash dumps larger than 2GB since a
system can hold more than 2GB of memory?

Thanks in advance,

--Buddy
