I had asked this question privately, but the answer I discovered I thought
was interesting. Any confirmations?
What raised the Q was my wondering.. Why is the D1000 mounting shelf ssoooo
tight (in an HP Rack)
I finally thought to measure an old 490 Server Cabinet, whose specs I am
guessing has not changed up to today in recent vintage cabinets.
*Clear Distances between Front Uprights -
*Sun 490 Server Cabinet:
17 7/8+ "
*Others
HP Cabinet.. HP PA-Risc Beige
HP Cabinet.. HP Intel off-white
all same OEM?:
APC NetSheleter
Compaq
IBM Netfinity black
17 3/4 "
That 1/8" difference is what I am noticing/missing/wanting with the D1000
mounting shelf.
