changing boot device / rootdisk (Solaris 8 / VXVM 3.1.1)

I find myself in the position of needing to migrate from a Sun MultiPack to a S1 as the boot device, and I think I've got it covered, but figured I'd run my scenario past the mass experience of this group.

Here's my plan:

current pertinent eeprom settings:

boot-device=disk6
nvramrc=devalias disk6 /sbus@3,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@1,0
devalias vx-rootdisk2 /sbus@3,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@2,0:a
devalias vx-rootdisk /sbus@3,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@1,0:a

new disk devices (on S1):

c3t0d0s0 --> sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@0,0:a
c3t1d0s0 --> sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@1,0:a
c3t2d0s0 --> sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@2,0:a

the plan is to mirror the exisiting rootdisk and rootdisk2 to the first two devices in the S1 (c3t0 and c3t1)

change the eeprom settings to:

boot-device=disk1
nvramrc=devalias disk1 sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@0,0:a
devalias vx-rootdisk2 sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@1,0:a
devalias vx-rootdisk sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000/sd@0,0:a

Then detach the original disks from the mirror........

SEEMS like it should just be that simple... course I've often been wrong about these things, so I thought I'd look for a little advice from folks who may have done something like this before....

Thanks!
