Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to assist someone with an Ultra 1 box. They had a HD failure,
an ST39173W, Seagate Barracuda. I can't find an ST39173W to replace it.
It has a 68pin connector. They are running Solaris 7.
If anyone can answer ANY of the following it would be helpful.
Can anyone suggest an 18Gig, ... that will work?
Will a ST318406LW Seagate 18.4GB 10Krpm Cheetah work?
Will a ST318438LW Seagate 18.4GB 7.2Krpm Barracuda work?
Will a ST318452LW Seagate 18.4GB 15Krpm Cheetah work?
Will a ST336706LW Seagate 36.9GB 10Krpm Cheetah work?
(BTW, I'm not hung-up on Seagate, I just researched the old drive
and then picked Seagate drives that I thought would work.)
Can anyone indicate what the general requirements are for a replacement
drive?
