U3 SCSI HBA + D2 = not seen at the OS level

Cannot get Solaris to see an Ultra3 SCSI HBA ( X6758A ) with a D2
attatched....

Probe SCSI does in fact see the HBA. In addition, the D2 that is attatched to
the HBA is seen with a probe-scsi. All disks are also being seen.

Running E220r with Solaris 8 02/02 and all patches and drivers loaded.
X6758A is attached to a Sun D2 storage array, 12 x 36 GB Disks.

Extra Patches / Packages installed
-------------------------
July 2002 Cluster Patch
SUNWqusux
SUNWqusx
1112697-02
Network Software Agent 2.1 and related patches
SUNVTS 4.6

Have tried the following commands to get the OS to see the drives -
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
devfsadm
drvconfig;devlinks;disks
touch /reconfigure - rebooted
ok prompt - boot -r

So all in all it appears the machine is happy with the HBA and the D2 (since
they are both properly seen with no bus errors etc at the OK prompt...) It
appears as if there is some incompatability within a patch or something along
those lines within the OS enviornment.

The SunService Storage are working on the issue but have not been able to come
to a resolution yet.. Checked the archives to no avail.

Suggestions are appreciated; will summarize.
