Raid Manager 6.1

Hello wizards,

I've got the following situation:

Ultra Enterprise 450 with Solaris 2.6, connected to A1000, Raid Manager 6.1
and
Solstice DiskSuite over it. We need to make available the feature of 16
LUN's.

This is the procedure that I've found:

Create or edit the /kernel/drv/glm.conf file to include the entries below:

     device-type-scsi-options-list =
     "Symbios StorEDGE A1000", "lsi-scsi-options",
     "Symbios StorEDGE A3000", "lsi-scsi-options",
     "SYMBIOS RSM Array 2000", "lsi-scsi-options";
     lsi-scsi-options = 0x107f8;

1. Edit the /usr/lib/osa/rmparams file and adjust the following variable
to 16 => System_MaxLunsPerController

2. Go to the /usr/lib/osa/bin directory and run the following script that
was installed from the patch you downloaded from sunsolve2.

#./add16lun.sh

3. reconfig reboot

So, as it has Solstice DiskSuite, and we have to do a "boot -r" how can we
handle this, to avoid the problems a "boot -r" having SDS can generate?

Thanks in advance.
