Hi Managers!
Does there exist a global readable counter for all open files on a Sol 8
system? We are aware that "lsof" or the like will be able to count the open
files, but is it possible to determine this number through querying a just a
few kernel counters? Maybe use SE Toolkit or some "netstat -k"'s? As this is
a production system we like to reduce overhead to a minimum!
Background: A java application has problems and seems to deadlock once in a
while. We are in a position where we have to prove that the system has not
too many open files or runs into some other kind of limitation.
