Hi,
I think I saw a post once on how to view and/or change kernel parameters
using kdb, while the OS is running.
Is this safe?
Is there a list of parameters for which this is possible?
How hard would it be to write a little script that does the following:
Prompt for Kernel parameter name
Display Current value
Prompt for new parameter
- or press Ctrl-C to make no change
Set new value into kernel
How hard would it be to build sense-checking into a script for this.
How about parameters in other modules?
In particular these parameters (ex /etc/system)
set sd:sd_io_time=0x3c
set sd:sd_max_throttle=8
Any comments/ideas?
Thanx,
_Johan
