Hi Gurus,
I have an A1000 Disk array connected to Sun 280r and running Raid
Manager 6.22. It is in a RAID 5 configuration. It has 12 x 36GB disks,
out of which 1 is hot spare and rest 11 are configured in one LUN.
Recently, i faced a disk failure error in 1 disk. After running a health
check, the LUN is shown as "Degraded LUN".
The show Procedure states to replace the failed drive with a new one. I
replaced it with a new drive of same capacity. It started Reconstructing
itself as soon as i replaced the drive. But now again it is showing as a
Failed drive.
Does anybody have any idea as to what should be the remedy for this?
Does the hot-spare took over the failed drive by itself or i've to
assign the hot-spare to take over any failed drive?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Anit
