UFSDUMP slow

I have two servers running the same backup script using ufsdump to DLT7000.
One takes approximately double the length of time of the other.

Details:

Server 1 - E450 OS 5.7 - internal disks of 9 and 18 GB's connected to tape
drive via SCSI, backup of 60 GB takes 139 minutes.

Server 2 - E4500 OS 5.7 - disk array A5200, disks of 9 & 18 GB's, disk drive
and tape drive connected to same SCSI card, backup of 60 GB takes 279
minutes.

Any suggestions to speed up the 2nd backup would be appreciated.

The inode count via sar -v shows that the inode-sz on Server 1 is approx 500
when running the backup, on server 2 it is 20000. Comments to reduce inode
count would also be appreciated.

Regards,
