Hello managers,
I have a question about "Veritas Volume Manager ". We have several large
stripe-sets (striped mirror) up to 400 GB mirrored over 2 controllers under
VVM-control (ver. 3.1.1).
Since SUN 72 GB harddisks into the A5200 fails unfortunately more
frequently, I want the stripe-sets (mirrored stripe) modify into the layout
striped-pro (striped mirror). I have created a test volume and changd the
layout problem-free. Also manual says, it works online (uninterrupted data
access).
Does have anyone experiences?
Should I better shutdown the application (Oracle databases)?
How long does it take for large volumes (minutes or hours)?
