Managers,
I am new to the Solaris environment and am looking for information
regarding the services that could/should be disabled on a Solaris 8
installation, though not to the point of breaking the machine or sacrificing
a great deal of functionality. Our Sun servers will not be doing anything
special other than admin ssh connectivity, databases, web servers and
middleware connectivity. I will be running ipfilter on all of the machines
but would also like to disable all services that I don't absolutely need.
Any information or pointers to information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Allen
