Hello,
Has anyone ever had experience using off-the-shelf PCI video cards on
Ultra 5's. I've heard rumors Sun had a Matrox Millenium II driver, as
well as rumors involving ATI rage cards (I think the chipset for the
onboard Vido on Ultra 5's is ATI rage, or some type of ATI).
I know there is a missing ROM on these cards, but even the card only
comes up in OpenWindows/X and not the console, I'd be willing to go for
that.
Matrox Millenium II and ATI rage PCI cards can get gotten on eBay for
about $10, alot better than $250 for a video card for a machine that
otherwise wouldn't really be worth spending that much money on.
