Hi all,
On my Ultra 5 Solaris 8, probe-ide shows the cdrom
exists in secondary master controller.
After booting, there is no /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0 but
c0t2d0s0 ( and other c0t2d0sx ), and it points
correctly to the device of alias cdrom in OBP.
volmgt does not mount cdrom when I insert the cd (
Sol9 CD1 of 2 ) into cdrom.
After stopping volmgt and manually
mount /dev/dsk/c0t2d0s0 /mnt
it still won't work.
Please shed some light. Thanks,
