Hello All,
I have an E450 with 4 cpu's and a qfe with Sun trunking software
installed. The dba's tried to improve backup time by sending 4 data
streams during a backup. I configured the backup server to write one
stream per tapedrive. The backups began and I saw that the backup was
indeed writing to 4 tape drives but at only at about 2MB/sec each. I
collected stats from the trunk using nettr and they are at the bottom of
this email. Basically it looks as though only one interface is used for
outbound packets even though the backup server has a GigE nic and could
handle everything the quad could send. Also, I looked at the switch and
the ports are channeled and are showing no errors with 100 full
connections on all 4 ports.
Any ideas?
