NIS Group limit problem

Hello all,

We have a problem in the NIS group file.
We get an error mesage for an user when we run
make from /var/yp/

/usr/sbin/mknetid: prashant's groups exceed 17

Is there a limit to the no. of groups that a user can belong to.
If there is a limit can i increase the limit.
