Hi all,

I have been asked to install SMC3.0 on a SUNFIRE 280r
and review the functionality before purchasing a
Licence for the advanced monitoring modules.

I have read the obvious release-notes.pdf,
install-guide.pdf and INSTALL-README before proceeding
with the installation.

I decided to install all 3 pkgs onto the same server
in /opt (plenty of space) as recommanded.
-Server
-Agent
-Console

The install of pkgs went fine.(CD1) Afterwards, you
was prompted to insert the second cd to install a
whole lot of Add-ons pkgs for A5x00, Netras,
starfires....

I chose NOT to. (no licence) I only want to test the
basic functionality of SMC3.0.

I then proceeded to run setup...there goes below the
problem i ran into..very obscure.

Has anyone had to install SMC3.0 on Solaris 8?

I removed all pkgs with es-uninst a few times
again..no joy though:)

Any help will be greatly appreciated,
