I run ndd /dev/tcp tcp_slow_start_initial

And get the value 4 returned. This is on Solaris 8. I am unable to find a
document which explains in detail which is the ideal value for Solaris 8
and why. On Solaris 2.6 I think a value of 2 was recommended.

I have the following boxes

     Solaris 2.6 -> value of 1
     Solaris 8 -> value of 4
     Solaris 8 -> value of 2

What impact would this have on communication between them ?

Can anyone cast some light on exactly what this value should be set to and
why, links to resources which actually explain what this values means in
Solaris 8 would be appreciated as well.
