FC-AL disk device naming

How does Solaris (9) decide the target portion of a /dev disk device
name for an internal FC drive (eg, in a 280R)?

More specifically, just for kicks I jumpered togethr two 280Rs with two
internal disks each. The result was that one disk in each was renamed
from, for example c1t1d0 to c1t21000004CF9633CBd0, namely target was
replaced by the the WWN of the device.

Of course everything works fine with the wicked long device name, but
I'd REALLY like to put things back how they were.
