copying a patch level

We have a machine that I have to set up another
machine like. It doesn't have to be an exact mirror,
just os and version of oracle the same and we'll put
the same database on it. I don't have access to this
other machine, beyond asking someone to give me a bit
of info on it. I know the disk layout to copy but I
was wondering how you determine what patches are
installed ...I don't mean manually going through a
showrev -p or anything I mean a shortcut to it - I
wondered if from the revision level on uname -a if for
example it said 10 - is there a way to know what
release of solaris 8 is on it and patched up to when
from that and thus I could copy as that ....hope the
query makes sense...
