HP openview and snmpd

I'm in a situation that I'm sure many of you have seen before. My company
has decided to use HP Openview to do enerprise-wide monitoring of all
servers and links. I haven't worked with Openview before but if I
understand correctly, it can gather statistics with snmp. If this is the
case I could save us from having to buy licenses for each of our Solaris
boxes.

This becomes an important issue because the cost of the HP Openview client
is HUGE. We've taken an approach of throwing many Netra T1's in our web
farm and if we had to go buy HP Openview clients for each of them we'd blow
through next years capital budget without even buying hardware.

So... Are any of use using net-snmpd to report in to an HP Openview headend
unit to monitor things such as application processes dying or interface
statistics?

Thanks!
