Reseting T3 Password

Hello,

This will be my first post to this group, so I hope I do everything ok.

We recently bought a used T3, with 7 Disk, 2 PSUs.
But there is a password set on the T3.

I found an old thread here, with the same problem.
But I'm not able to get the password reset by following these instructions.

First of all, we don't have the official T3 Diagnostic Cable Kit.
Do we really need one ?
>From the various sources I found, some are saying that the RJ11-RJ45 is a
standard cable, others say it has a special pinout.

Because we tried it with a standard one, but there is no response on the
terminal.
Also I'm not quite sure if we did it the right way.

>From the instructions it was.

1. Power on the master and wait for the "press return now ...."

As our T3 has 2 PSUs, I found out that the left PSU (when you look at it
from the back) should be the master one.
So we powered that one, but still no response on the serial connection.

Can anybody help me with a little bit more infos on how to do it the right
way?
Might there be another way to reset it. Was thinking of that the password is
going to be saved in some kind of battery on the controller, and removing
that would erase the password.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Christian.
