Doh! MS rtf! My apologies for not getting the settings correct. Here's my
query again in plain text.
--- Hello, I'm trying to secure our servers (mostly running Solaris 7) with OpenSSH but I keep getting the following error when I install ANDIrand: # pkgadd ANDIrand-0.7-5.7-sparc-1.pkg --8<--snip*-- disclaimer stuff --8<--snip*-- Installing random-0.7 as <ANDIrand> ## Installing part 1 of 1. /etc/init.d/random /usr/kernel/drv/random /usr/kernel/drv/random.conf [ verifying class <none> ] /etc/rc0.d/K50random <linked pathname> /etc/rc2.d/S60random <linked pathname> Modifying /etc/devlink.tab [ verifying class <sed> ] /usr/kernel/drv/sparcv9/random [ verifying class <km64> ] ## Executing postinstall script. drvconfig: Driver (random) failed to attach Warning: Driver (random) successfully added to system but failed to attach Initializing random number generator... driver not loaded! Installation of <ANDIrand> was successful. The package seems to install fine but no devices (neither /devices/pseudo/random@0:random nor /devices/pseudo/random@0:urandom) seem to be created. :( I read up on add_drv but I can't see what's wrong here). Can any point me in the right direction here?
