MPxIO/SSTM on Sun vs HP branded QLogic HBAs

Greetings!

Need your expert advice on SFS drivers and supported HBAs.

Currently, we've Sol8/9 servers connected to HP EVA 5K thro HP Branded
Qlogic cards, multipathing provided by SecurePath. We are upgrading EVA
5K to EVA 8K. HP doesn't support SecurePath anymore which means going
forward we might have to use either mpxio or dmp.

We've VxVM on all servers and we may well opt for DMP but our past
experience with Veritas/HP/Sun support had been frightening -
finger-pointing at each other, and hence we are trying to move away from
the multi-vendor environment as much as possible. In our scenario we are
more inclined towards mpxio.

The question is - Does SFS 4.4.x (14 is the latest) support HP Branded
Qlogic? Is there a support matrix that can indicate what is supported
and what is not? If not, we might have either to opt for DMP or reload
the Sun firmware on all HBAs to make them Sun Branded HBAs.

TIA,

Ketan
