Limitations of snoop filter expression

 I'm trying to script a snoop/tcpdump script that's going to run on several
 hosts during a network test. Tested it on Solaris 10 just fine, but it did
 not even start a capture on Solaris 8/9. It looks like snoop on these
 systems doesn't allow more than 7 host or ip addresses in the filter
 expression. Is this a known limitation, and are there workarounds?
