Hi,
I have a lot of questions, I hope you can help me at least for one of them:
1. I need to run ACSLS, so I've installed 2 HBAs to perform this: a 29320A
SCSI HBA to control the robot (Sun STK L180) and an Emulex LP9802 FC HBA to
access the drive. I dont know how to patch our Solaris 9 to recognize
neither the FC or SCSI HBAs. I've downloaded the driver from Emulex's web
page but it mentions some software packages from Sun, and the links provided
by Emulex in its manuals are not correct or updated. Worst: I couldnt find
out a driver and manual for the SCSI HBA. Can you provide me a "simple list
of instructions" or tips or whatever about how to do this? And how can I be
checking out if the procedure I follow is right?
2. About Solaris 9: the default browser is Netscape but I cannot configure
it to show text fonts "larger" so always appears (I think) fonts in 8 or 7,
so this is unreadable.
3. I have a problem with a SL500, the library has 4 LTO3 FC drives, HP
branded. Sun says that these HP drives are compatible with IBM's Tivoli
(TSM) but Peru's Tivoli team said that's not right. Who is right and who is
not?
4. Well I know this is a Sun forum but maybe you know about this issue: how
to interconnect FC switches of Cisco and Brocade? Cisco posts a manual that
is non-updated (they talk about legacy Brocade switches and firmwares), same
scenario with Brocade. Any known web page or resourse or manual or whatever
about this.
