Hey Everybody,
I have three T-1000's that I would like to use to replace a stack of old
Netra T-1's...my dilemma is the best way to do that. The Netra's are
lightly loaded web and ftp servers, so I was considering creating a "grid"
(probably the wrong term) or cluster using the T-1000's and then creating
containers within that cluster. My goal is to provide as much redundancy
and automatic failover as possible should one of the T-1000's die. My
alternative is to bring up two of the T-1000's as standalone servers, each
running a subset of the processes from the Netra's and have the third T-1000
as a warm standby should one of the two fail.
I could have sworn I've seen white papers and BigAdmin articles on just
this, but I can't seem to find them now! (Figures)
Anyway, any thoughts, opinions, or recommendations would be greatly
appreciated!
Thanks,
Emmett
