name_to_major problem with Sun Cluster 3.2

I have two T1000's running Solaris 10 8/07 that are configured in a Sun Cluster 3.2 config.
When I try and add another machine to the config (Sun V250 running Solaris 9 4/04 fully patched) it fails with the
message "major number 239 already in use".

I checked the name_to_major file on the v250 and it has 239 assigned to adm1026.

How can I change the major number for adm1026?

I need to get this cluster up and running before the end of the year.

All suggestions gratefully received.
