Hi managers.
I'm about to dump 1.5 TB worth of sybase databases out to a couple of nfs
mounts via gigabit ethernet. I get about 30MB/sec which is ok given the
minimal tuning I've done: change the read and write size for the NFS
mounts...
mount -F nfs -o wsize=32768,rsize=32768,vers=3 x.x.x.x:/data /dump
I'm dumping from v880s to v240s and then loading from the two v240s to a
third v240 (test database)
Is there any more tuning that can be done to increase the throughput? All
servers run solaris 9.
Thanks
Dean Ross-Smith
