Hi all,
we added 4GB of Ram to an Ultra45 with two processors. "prtdiag -v"
gives
============================ Memory Configuration
============================
Segment Table:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Base Address Size Interleave Factor Contains
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
0x200000000 2GB 1 BankIDs 0
0x1000000000 4GB 2 BankIDs 16,17
Bank Table:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Physical Location
ID ControllerID GroupID Size Interleave Way
-----------------------------------------------------------
0 0 1 2GB 0
16 1 0 2GB 0,1
17 1 0 2GB
Memory Module Groups:
--------------------------------------------------
ControllerID GroupID Labels Status
--------------------------------------------------
0 1 MB/DIMM2
0 1 MB/DIMM0
1 0 MB/DIMM4
1 0 MB/DIMM6
and when booting the machines tells me that 6GB of memory are
insatlled. That's the expected value. However, the machine is
incredibly slow and mpstat gives me
CPU minf mjf xcal intr ithr csw icsw migr smtx srw syscl usr sys
wt idl
0 2 0 5 45 40 19 0 0 2 0 29 0 0
0 100
1 554 1 15 337 229 1456 75 0 3 0 3907 13 6
0 80
I don't like this 100% idle value of CPU 0. This does not look
correct!? Any idea what might be wrong?
Thanks,
Andreas
