Just like to thank everyone for their help with my PCI Card issue with my
Sun Blade 100 with a previous posting.
Have overcome one problem, but now have another.
I have fitted Two (x2) of the following cards to a Sun Blade 100 with Sun
Solaris 10 ;
SUN Swift SCSI & Ethernet PCI Card 501-2741 X1032A
One card is attached to PCI Slot 1 and the other to PCI Slot 2.
1. Attached a SDT-9000 Tape Drive to Card in PCI Slot 1
OK> probe-scsi-all
/pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@2/SUNW,isptwo@4
Target 4
Unit 0 Removal Tape Sony SDT-9000 0400
/pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@1/SUNW,isptwo@4
2. Attached SDT-9000 Tape Drive to Card in PCI Slot 2
OK> probe-scsi-all
/pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@2/SUNW,isptwo@4
/pci@1f,0/pci@5/pci@1/SUNW,isptwo@4
Target 4
Unit 0 Removal Tape Sony SDT-9000 0400
3. When I perform the following command ;
# ufsrestore i
When using PCI Card 1 - O.K
When using PCI Card 2 - /dev/rmt/0 : No such file or directory
4. When configuring for new devices, performed the following ;
touch ./reconfigure
(NB : At the time the Sony SDT-9000 was attached to PCI Slot 1)
Has anyone any ideas, why the External device is seen by both PCI Cards, but
when using ufsrestore - is only functional when external device is attached
to PCI Slot 1 ? (Do I need to rerun touch ./reconfigure with the tape drive
attached to PCI Card Slot 2 ?)
Look forward to your response.
