Hi all,

we have recieved the following nfs stale handle error messages on nfs client:

NFS write error on host marble-bk: Stale NFS file handle.
(file handle: 458e294 3e7 a0000 e92 7cb6405c a0000 2 4a73)

By usinf the file system id and inode identifier i have found the
culprit file system and the files causing these messages. The solution
to the issue is to un mount the file systems from the client and
remount again, its not a good option in my case as its a busy
production file system rathet it would be good if i can identify the
process that was using these files. Kindly inform if there is any
possible way to find out the process using the files when the file
system was umounted last time.

Regards,

Zubair Hassan
