Question about adding patch clusters during jumpstart

So I'm a bit confused. The custom jumpstart
(http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-0179/egkcv?l=en&a=view) guide on
Sun's site indicates that I can use the "patch" keyword to install
patches from an nfs mount at install time. However the install log
doesn't give me any indication that the patches installed, here's the
relevant portion of my profile:

> patch patch_order nfs://192.168.9.3/build/patches/10_SunAlert_Patch_Cluster retry 5
> patch patch_order nfs://192.168.9.3/build/patches/10_Recommended retry 5

And the resulting bit of the install log

> Installing patches now
> Installing patch(es) from 192.168.9.3 of location type "nfs"
> Validating patches...

> Loading patches installed on the system...

My exports exist and mount fine from another machine on the
192.168.9.0/24 network and they are exactly what you expect from the
names, which is to say the 10_Recommended cluster and the Sunalert
cluster exactly as the are extracted from sun's own distribution zip
files. I'm at my wit's end trying to get this to work correctly and I'm
going to lose my mind if I have to sit through another install just to
confirm that it didn't work... again... Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
