I have a strange problem with tcpwrappers and tftpd.
Solaris 9 with tcpwrappers enabled in /etc/default/inetd
Inetd process HUP'ed and in.tftpd : xxx.xxx.xxx. added into /etc/hosts.allow
/etc/hosts.deny contains in.tfptd : ALL
When adding in.telnetd and other services into /etc/hosts.allow ips
which dont match are refused connection.
The problem seems to be that tftpd is allowing anything to connect
regardless of entries in /etc/hosts.allow.
e.g
# cat /etc/hosts.allow
in.tftpd : 10.10.1.
When i connect from 10.10.2.3 it allows connection.
Anyone any ideas? And Yes inetd has been hupped and the entry in
/etc/inetd.conf is the standard tftpd entry.
Cheers
