UPDATE: no | or \ from keyboard with KVM switch + PS2 keyboard

Hi,

Only one reply but I am getting no where.

My UK Compaq keyboard has the bar+backslash key left of 'Z'.

Does anyone knows keycode for this key?

after searching I believe you can change your keyboard mapping using

xmodmap

and xmodmap -pk gives:
