core find

Hi,
Could someone tell me of a good one line command to list all core files
on the system by date. I tried a
find / -name core | xargs ls -t and it seems to be ok until there were
no cores on the system and it just listed the current working directory.
The command needs to be safe as I plan to remove all cores except the
last as part of this.

Thanks in advance!
