Hi Everyone

My client is running Sun Ultra45 and Solaris 10 OS.
I have specified dns server in /etc/resolve.conf of my client pc and
client is able to ping the dns server IP. However whenever I try
resoving google.com or say yahoo.com it gives me

bash-3.00# nslookup
> google.com
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
>

when i try running nslookup instead of getting default server as my
DNS server specied in resolve.conf, I get
bash-3.00# nslookup
> server
Default server: 127.0.0.1
Address: 127.0.0.1#53
in.named service is also not runing.

Can anyone please explain me why I am not been able to set default
server to DNS server rather 127.0.0.1 ?

Thanks
