All,
We have a dual fibre card. When tested per single port, the card seems
to go close to wire speed to a single LUN.
We were hoping to get 4Gps by connecting 2 LUNs on 2 separate ports and
2 separates controllers on the disk array, however, we are still getting
speeds close to 2Gps.
The file system we used was ZFS, and we just added both LUNs to it (on
different controllers)
The setup is as follows
hostFibrePort0->switchA->arrayController0port0
hostFibrePort1->switchB->arrayController1port1
The array is satabeast with 4gb ports. The switch and the fibre card are
2gb.
So basically the question is, is the card the bottleneck? Should it be
able to do 4gb combined?

p.s.
I wish Sun stuck to a single part naming convention.
