Hi!
When installing Solaris 9 2005/09 (only this specific
release/hardware-release) on a SPARC system, the installation stops with
this error message:
---snip---
Please wait while the system is configured with your settings...
An error has occurred in configuring the system. Please go back and
check your settings.
---snip---
This happens when I use system_locale=no (it will give me locale
no_NO.ISO8859-1@bokmal). If I set system_locale to C or en_US, the
install proceeds fine, but I do not get norwegian locale installed at
all. :-(
The issue, or a similar one, is described in Sun Bug ID 6179110.
So, at least, I would want to add the specific package that contains
the norwegian locale files. I added this to my profile:
package SUNWneuos add
The install then fails:
WARNING: Unknown package ignored (SUNWneuos)
Why so? This package is mentioned in the .packagetoc for that release.
Do I have to specify which directory it is in (not needed for the other
packages/package cluster)?
Would appreciate any help.
Cheers,
