Sun Fire T1000 fan control possible?

Hello Everyone,

We have recently acquired a Sun Fire T1000 'box.

But I note the fans are exremely noisy, and there doesn't appear to be any
way of controlling them.

I have explored the options in the system cobnnsole managemant utility but
all I can find is the current fan status - and no apparent way of setting
them.

Is there any way to adjust the fan speeds? By that I mean set them to
automatically adjust to environmental changes?

I should also point out this server is running in a well cooled (18 deg c)
environment.

Unfortunately, the server room is adjacent to the CEO's office, and he is
asking why this single Sun Server is making more noise than the 7 HP servers
in the same rack......

This is the output status.
