Hi fellows,
I got a problem with a e4500, OBP 3.2.30 and a d1000 12 disks.
It cannot boot from the disks in the storage.
I am able to install via network Solaris 10, disks are seen, however later
nothing from disk happens.
Diag switch is set to true and level is min.
D1000 has been terminated in the last slot with diff terminator, medium
slots connect with the U cable.
Output from probe-scsi-all:
/sbus@3,0/QLGC,isp0,10000
Target 1
Unit 0 Disk STkfldfkdlfkdl
Target 2
Unit0 disk sdsdsklls
Target 6
Cdrom.
disks are in the format /sbus@3,0/QLGC,isp0,10000/sd@1,0 and
/sbus@3,0/QLGC,isp0,10000/sd@2,0
When I boot from an alias it says cannot find boot device.
I booted from network in single user.
installed bootblock /usr/sbin/installboot /usr/platform/`uname
-i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/c0t1d0s0
after which I get on the prom
sd seek 2f2a0000 return 0
and so on.
Other funny stuff to consider
CD boots fine when storage is not attached.
Else it says cannot open boot device.
Has anyone been in such a frenzy?
I will post pictures tomorrow,
as I got to get some sleep
TIA
