Hi All,
I am using a SunFire V890 server running on solaris 8.0 with all latest patches.
I have configured IPMP active- standby configurations on it the
# ifconfig -a output is
lo0: flags=1000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 8232 index 1
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
ce0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
inet 192.168.1.206 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
groupname test2
ce0:1: flags=9040843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,DEPRECATED,IPv4,NOFAILOVER>
mtu 1500 index 2
inet 192.168.1.121 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
eri0: flags=69040843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,DEPRECATED,IPv4,NOFAILOVER,STANDBY,INACTIVE>
mtu 1500 index 3
inet 192.168.1.122 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
groupname test2
ipdptp0: flags=100a8d1<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,NOARP,MULTICAST,UNNUMBERED,PRIVATE,IPv4>
mtu 8232 index 4
inet 192.168.1.206 --> 137.237.15.104 netmask ffffff00
everything related to IPMP was done as per manual/pdf.
This server has a mate server with same configurations and both are
connected to a CISCO switch.
when there is a databse sync up goin on both servers all the
interfaces in the group fails. and there is data loss . Then is fails
back on one interface ...however there is data loss.
Kindly suggest....and advice...
Thanks in advance.
Deba
