hello all,
is anybody successed in installing mathematica on solaris 10 amd64?
They sent me a self-extracting archive (a binary containing install
shell) and it failed on S10 6/06. I gave a try on Solaris Express
Developper Edition (b64a), and the installation did more things. But
unfortunately, it failed at the end because the SXDE platform is 32
bits, not 64!
ok, perhaps Wolfram will give me a solution, but they took time to reply...
Here are logs:

On S10U3:
"
Now installing...
[CRITICAL ERROR: InstallSize not defined. ]
Installation failed. See /tmp/InstallErrors-7573.
"
and in InstallErrors-7573:
"

"

On SXDE 2nd edition, first i replace /usr/bin/tar from Sun with Gnu tar (!?)
"
Installation failed. See /usr/local/Wolfram/Mathematica/6.0/InstallErrors.
"
and in InstallErrors:
"/usr/local/Wolfram/Mathematica/6.0/SystemFiles/Kernel/Binaries/Solaris-x86-64/MathKernel:
^?ELF^B^A^A^B: not found
/usr/local/Wolfram/Mathematica/6.0/SystemFiles/Kernel/Binaries/Solaris-x86-64/MathKernel:

"

After, i copied /usr/local/Wolfram from SXDE (32bits) to S10U3 (64bits),
and i got:
nemo-henry% /usr/local/Wolfram/Mathematica/6.0/Executables/mathematica
xset: bad font path element (#46), possible causes are:
Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
     Directory missing fonts.dir

     Directory missing fonts.dir
Incorrect font server address or syntax

and this error window:

I don't understand why wolfram pretend to support solaris x86...

thanks in advance for help,

gerard
